Are you still searching and ready to buy Bahadur Comics?

There are many old comics shopkeepers and "some so called big helpers of comics collectors" who are selling IJC print at very high rate.
It's an good opportunity for comics collector getting brand new prints from the creators.

How?

This way: Aabid Surti and the son of late Govind Brahamania "Promod Brahamania" has started http://www.bahadur.in/.

Some pages of the very first Bahadur comic are available for online reading and many more are coming. The pages are recoloured.

According to my source of information, all 75 old comics will be reprinted soon, as well as new adventures will be released.
Visit http://www.bahadur.in/ and subscribe. It's high time to show our respect.

Eagerly waiting printed version. Although I've recollected many physical copies of Bahadur comics, I would like buying complete NEW set.

Re: Hurrah! Bahadur is back(List of ALL Bahadur Stories)

A great news indeed!! Hopefully we will get NEW stories too, along with the re-touched classics!!
Between I doubt whether ALL 75 Bahadur adventures will be printed,as only first 12 were scripted by Mr.Surti and in the web-site,there's no mention of Jagjit Uppal - the 2nd writer after him who wrote as much as 63 stories. So it's my guess that we'll see only first 12 classics followed by new releases, but that's good as the sooner we get new & modern stuffs, the better!!

Best Wishes,

Re: Hurrah! Bahadur is back(List of ALL Bahadur Stories)

Yes, you had mentioned in your blog The Lost World about all writers and illustrators as well as about Bahadur and Bela:

[quote]"Yes! I'm talking about the brave Indian lad,Bahadur, the founder of CSF [Citizen Security Force] at Jaigarh in the Chambal valley.
His creator was famous artist and painter Abid Surti and later this series was continued by Jagjit Uppal. There are 75 Bahadur comics published in Indrajal Comics (1964-1990) and among them first 12 were written by Mr.Surti while rest 63 by Mr.Uppal. Except a few last comics, all were illustrated by G.Brahmania, later done by his son, P.Brahamania.
Bela, daughter of seth Shivram of Pipli,is his love-interest. Their first meeting was very dramatic,in the 4th story of Bahadur,'The white ghost's den' [IJC No.284],where Bahadur saved her father from a group of dacoits and since then they were inseparable couple, though until the very LAST story,[The snake Charmer’s Bait ;Vol.27 No.5 ; 1990] they were not married."

Just as well....Aabid Surti was classic and as far as I know the series ended with Bahadur proposing to Bela. I want to see Aabid's take on it.

I doubt Surtiji will start from that point,as that was inthe Jagjit Uppal's era and we see no infos on him in the bahadur site. Personally,I do firmly belive that,if there'll be any NEW Bahadur story, that should be from where Snake Chamer's bait ended,to keep the continuty!Majority of bahadur readers' incld. me were grew-up reading Uppalji's creation only allthough those first 12 issues were land-marking classics!

Re: Hurrah! Bahadur is back(List of All BAHADUR Stories)

I think so too that the things should start where it ended in THE SNAKE CHARMERS BAIT but look at it this way....there is a major continuity leap from the last issue of Aabid Surti to the 1st issue of Jagjit Uppal.....rather jarring....I do not know what was the reason for Aabid sir leaving but if it was refusal to continue in the manner of Jagjit's stuff ie relocation to Jaigarh & city style adventures, we might not see the Jagjit Uppal stories.
Irrespective of that Aabid Sir has said that he had explored possibly the 1st live in relationship in comics when he had shown Bahadur & Bela living together. I just want to see his take....no matter if he continues after Snake charmer's Bait or chooses to follow his own stories and take the relationship in his style.

and besides as far as I know it is going to be a webcomic total.....I do not think it is going to be printed.....
